my photography explores ideas about our interaction with the city.
my work as a historian & museum professional influences my photography & vice versa. i am particularly influenced by theories of intersections of memory & history and how we construct both our built (& natural) environments as sites of memory. my images reflect the ephemeral nature of everyday life contrasted with the apparent permanence of the built environment and the spaces in between.
i find inspiration in many forms, from the ephemera of everday life to wide empty landscapes.
